Another new bird showed up in the yard this week, a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. He stayed long enough to snap up some insect, some water and o yea a few images by myself.

This little guy happens to be a Pygmy Nuthatch. A friendly and rather common bird here at the house. This shot was taken over at a local Aspen Grove where they have a cavity in this old stump. You can see him here bringing in a grub of some kind. His cavity is that depression right before his feet.

I’ve started shooting the local birds at the house, and i thought it would be fun to photograph the hummingbirds, this one being an Allen’s. Since the front yard is covered with wild flowers that they like, as you can see in the photo, all i had to do was setup the 600 in my room and look out the window.

One of the creatures that inhabit the house here are the Panament Chipmunks, along with the Yellow-pine but more often its the padament that is seen. These little creatures torture the dogs. They never can catch them and boy do they want to. These guys are a lot of fun to play with, never sure what they are going to do next.
