How Do You Stay Inspired
This is one of the hardest things for any photographer to deal with. Staying inspired is a constant challenge because it doesn’t take much to get frustrated or depressed with the business. One bad email or phone call, a piece of work getting rejected, or even a photo shoot gone wrong can all lead to not wanting to pickup the camera again. But you have to overcome it. The job doesn’t stop, the work doesn’t stop. You just keep pushing. But how do you do that? One of my favorite ways is to go fishing.
This started as just a passion that I enjoyed doing in my spare time and since then it has emerged as part of my weekly routine. I love fishing and I love taking my camera along. Every time I go out I see and find something else that inspires me to shoot more. Sometimes it’s landscapes, sometimes it’s finding a new place for critters and even just being with my friends, who love the photos as much as I do. Yesterday was a great example as it went from snowing to absolutely gorgeous Spring thunderstorms. I couldn’t have asked for better. This has become my outlet when work gets tough. I highly recommend that everyone finds something that they are passionate about and bring their camera along. You never know until you do how much fun it can be.
