The Bridger Mountains

Naturally I had to go out shooting and try and get something with all this snow. I went out for sunset in hopes of capturing the west side of the Bridger’s bathed in light. It’s always been a challenge for me to get that shot because the Bridger’s have the town right in front of them. I lucked out in remembering one place I used to go that had pretty good clearance from the rest of the town.

As of many of the roads around Bozeman this one happened to be used often to get to hunting areas. Right now the Elk season is in pretty full swing around here. Trucks kept going by and everyone always looks at me and waved wondering, “what the heck is that guy doing?” The sky didn’t light up as dramatically as I would have liked but there enough light on the Bridger to make them stand out. You can see how cold it was, it adds a rather nice contrast to the scene.
