A Simple Day with a Few New additions to the Gallery

Well it seemed like a good time to add a bit more to the old gallery site. It’s amazing that the one section that seems to take up the most time is the Gallery. Then again it is full of nothing but processed images so that does explain a bit. Well this time I added a little bit to each section.

Commander Shrike

The first one is the Shrike Commander. Now it started as the Aero Commander 500 but after 1967 it became the Shrike Commander. This series of plane has been used for cargo, by the USAF and the US Army, Coast Guard, Customs Service and even as Air Force One for President Eisenhower. It’s more familiar amongst Aviation Enthusiasts as one of the Planes that Bob Hoover used for aerobatics at Airshows. This particular one belongs to Robert Odegaard who flew an amazing performance for us a year ago.

T28 Trojan

The T28 Trojan was developed as a training aircraft for the United States Air Force and US Navy. It fell out of desire for the USAF by the early 1960’s but the Navy continued to use them up into the 1980’s. It began use in the 1950’s, but was primarily used for counter insurgency in Vietnam. Today it is seen as a classic warbird and can be found at most Airshows. The unique design gives it a rather interesting look when flying.
